Carving Pumpkins... Again
So, I'm definately really immature because i carved pumpkins again last night with Jared...and it was fun. I love making faces in pumpkins and I have no clue why. I just love the gush when you pull all the pumpkin guts out of the pumpkins. Oh well it was fun.
Those were a few pics of our fun-filled carving event. :)

Last Night...
Last night was incredibly fun. After a very nice bible study... see Luke's blog...Taryn and I went to Ashley Keifers and carved pumpkins. It was a blast. I was so proud of my pumpkin. He's so cute. It's the classic carved pumpkin. Taryn made a T, Kelsee and Joe made a cute face. Ashley and Raleigh, I think that's his name, made a really scary face and Natalie, the spiritual one, made an arrow pointing to heaven. Aw. It was fun times. After that we went back to the T apartment. Tracy and Trisha were planning their trip to Europe.... AND I WANT TO GO SOOO BAD. All i have to do is get the parental approval and save up lots of money. So hopefully it will work out. Tracy and Trisha had these cool shirts that Taryn decided she wanted one right now. So we went over to Jordon's because this boy was there that was selling his shirts. She bought one and we then started playing Mario Kart until very late into the night. I lost everytime. Except for once when I got second. I was excited. Jordon won lots and so did Taryn. We decided it was too late and we needed to go home. We arrived back at the T apartment and looked at pictures for a really long time. We also talked for a crazy long time. It got to be four in the morning and we decided it was probably smart that we went to bed. So we did. And there is the end of my night. It was nice to see all my ISU girls and have fun. Today I'm babysitting for Harts and then Jared has a fun-filled night planned. Bye all!!!

Monet...
Ok, this post will probably bore all of you, but I've been thinking about Monet a lot lately. And as an art major I feel as if this blog needs to reflect my life a little bit and I have never talked about art... something I love. But I love Monet, mainly because I have two prints of his work hanging in my room that I can see, and he might possibly be one of my favorite artists.
Impressionist Sunrise... This basically started the impressionist movement. Which I love. Impressionism just breaks rules and I think that's why i like it. I get sick of artists following the rules and drawing/painting exactly what they see. Monet drew what he saw, but he knew that the sunrise didn't last... and he couldn't draw that exactly. If that makes sense. So it was his impression of a sunrise...quick brushstrokes and just a very quickly painted work. I love it. It's gorgeous. Obviously there are no straight detailed lines in a sunrise, so he didn't put that. LOVE IT!!! I just love Monet. Here are some more of his works...
I love the colors in this one... gorgeous again... and again I love the quick brushstrokes...
Another one of his gorgeous works...
So I hope you enjoyed and maybe these works made you smile.,.... because they make me smile a lot. :)
Have a great day today. :)

Pink Blog Problem Solved... maybe... I hope...
Let me know how the pink blob situation is.... if the world would all get macs, things would be ok. I changed colors, and I still included a little pink for Scott, and hopefully I'm not blinding Spud. Let me know if there are any other problems... :)

OK, well enough with my laughs. As you can tell I changed the blog a little bit. I felt it was time to get rid of the childish pink and upgrade to a more sophisticated orange. haha, I don't know I was just really sick of the pink.
10 things that happened this week...
1. I drew a skeleton in Life Drawing and it actually looked like a skeleton!!! Wow, that's really good for me.
2. Took some great pictures of Jared for my photography class and I love them!!! They turned out really good and I'm exicted to print them this week.
3. Continued learning how to play "Ancient Days" on the piano and had my first piano lesson in front of Dr. Kaizer. I was so nervous because he is basically the greatest piano teacher around here. My hands were shaking sooo bad, but I love the piano. :)
4. Played my violin far too many times this week....
5. Cried a lot. I was just in a crying mood and I cried over everything. I'm not really sure why I just get like that sometimes. It feels good to cry. Like this one time when I was in Florida, I lost my sunglasses on the beach and when I realized on the way home that I had left them there, I cried my eyes out. It was one of the saddest things ever, but not really. I just cry.
6. Walked by the riverfront with Jared and it was so pretty. The Murry Baker Bridge is done and it was so pretty with all of the lights on at night and the night was gorgeous. I love fall. There were couples taking rides on the horse and carriage and Jared and I decided we would do that when it snowed... it would be more romantic... haha whatever Jared and I romantic...that's funny. We just thought it would be prettier in the snow. Of course if we wanted romantic we should go while it's raining because according to Luke rainy days are romantical...I don't really agree though. :)
7. I had an orchestra concert Saturday night, the first one of the year. It was a little rough, but the first concert with new players in the orchestra is always rough. It takes time to get used to everyone and the conductor and everything. All in all I think the concert went well, other then the second movement of the second song. It's crazy long and I could seriously feel myself aging while I played it. I thought it would never end. Jared went to the concert and slept. haha.
8. Played scrabble with Jared tonight. He beat me by far and I was really sad because I thought my word "tacky" would take me all the way.... but nope, he came up with "water" and had a double word spot so it was worth like 30 points and it was crazy. I was sad because I ususally beat him at games. Oh well, I guess he can win one time in his lifetime.
9. My parents went to Louisiana. My father has this new obsession with semi's. Ever since this hurricane thing, he's gotten really wrapped up in the world relief efforts and getting supplies to the people down there. This is the second load that my mom and dad went down with (they went like two weeks ago I think, to Mississippi) Midwest trucking has been awesome. They are donating trucks and drivers to go down, but then take volunteers to drive. My dad is driving down the 22 semi to go down. I think that's amazing that they have filled (with Morton churches 5 semis) 22 semi loads. Wow, God really can work in amazing ways. I think it's amazing that the church went out and spent tons of money and then with a little bit of prayer and guidance from Him, the church had enough money donated in two weeks to pay for the whole ordeal. Awesome.
10. The tenth spot is hard to fill because I feel like it should be something outrageous and fun or exciting or mean something and I don't know what to end with. So basically i end with nothing. That really makes sense doesn't it? Oh well. It's late and I need to be done writing anyways.
Goodnight all!!!!
