Weekend
Just a quick post about my weekend. Friday night I helped with the Hurricane Relief effort that my church has been doing and it was soo fun. It's soo fun to see how everyone (young and old) come together for a good cause and get tons done!!! I ended up in bed so early and it was nice to finally get a whole nice sleep.
Saturday night was the Congerville Fundfest. I went to help Jared's mom at 12:30, then worked the first shift handing out drinks, then ate dinner. it was a good time, even though Taryn makes fun of me for going. :) After the fundfest I laughed more then I have laughed in a very long time. I went to Dairy Queen with Taryn Heather and Kelly and the Dairy Queen payphone was ringing. I decided to answer it. I said "Hello" and the girl at the other end asked me who this was and what I was doing, I got flustered and hung up. It rang again. A boy answered and asked "Is Mike there?" Taryn's witty response was, "Yes he is but he's in the shower right now, he'll be out in about five minutes." The guy laughed and said "Oh, well who is this?" And again Taryn's witty response was "Princess" The guy laughed again and said, "Well, princess, can you have Mike call me when he gets out of the shower this is Roger" and he gave Taryn a phone number to call. The conversation went on a little long as I was standing next to Taryn cracking up then it was done. We were driving back to Taryn's and I thought it would be hilarious if Taryn called the number and said "Hey this is Mike, I think Roger called me." Taryn wouldn't do it but when we got to her house, Gab called. It was hilarious because the guy cracked up that we called him. Then, Brooke got on the phone and we all laughed for ever. She is absolutely hilarious. She just kept asking him questions and he was laughing and the whole incident was childish, yet hilarious.
Sunday I went boating with Taryn and the Brakers. They made me tube. I hate tubing. It hurts. I screamed the whole entrie time and yelled "This is not fun!!!" Then Taryn left my tube for the other tube with Stephanie Braker and Whitney Braker and I was all alone and i got whipped out of the wake and screamed more. It was not enjoyable but Taryn wouldn't come back on the tube and they kept pushing me away and laughing at me. Oh well.
