It's just Me

So I have been thinking about this all week and I finally decided just to post about it. God is awesome. I went to Pheonix this past week and it was soo beautiful. I have never been west of Illinois so it was new territory for me. I never realized the whole world wasn't flat and had corn everywhere. There is this thing called mountains. Yeah, I've never seen those before. They are AMAZING. They are huge. I was just in awe. We drove to Sedona, and I just stared out the window at their gorgeousness... if that is even a word. It should be.

Ok. So onto my thoughts I guess. How can you not believe there is a God? I asked Taryn this week. How can you look at something like the mountains and not believe there is a God. Or how can you look at an ocean, and not believe there is a God. The mountains are absolutely massive. If you can tell I was just in shock. So all week I've been pondering this and just in awe of God's work.

So then tonight, I go to read and I open to Psalms 33.

6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth.

7He gathers the waters of the sea into jars
he puts the deep into storehouses.

Seriously. How can you not say wow.


But then I got thinking. Illinois is beautiful too. Just because we don't have mountains and gorgeousness doesn't mean it's not His. When the plane was landing yesterday I was watching out the window. We are sooo green here. No green in Arizona. We have gorgeous greenness. Yeah, I'm just making up words left and right. Illinois is beautiful too, and we need to thank God everyday for that too. We can look around here and see there is a God.

So now, I'll leave you with a song you are all too familiar with. I find myself singing it when I look at nature and see how beautiful it is.
